I have been taking yoga lessons with Shalini since Jan 2019. My experience has been quite amazing. I feel energized, relaxed and calm after each session. I am learning more about my body and mind and enjoying this journey. 

Shalini is very knowledgable and is a great teacher. She teaches a wide variety of yoga poses and the nuances in them. Most importantly, she tells you what you shouldn’t do in a pose which is very helpful to understand how it is supposed to be done. She gives variations depending on the body type and comfort level of the person. At the same time,  she is not scared to push you forward and challenge you. My favorite part of the session is practicing the various breathing techniques as well as her short discourses on positivity and gratitude. I believe I have a slightly increased sense of appreciation for people and things in my life. She has a full time job and yet her commitment to yoga is very admirable. If you have never done yoga, this is a good beginners course to understand the poses and how to breathe with movement. Yogawithshal's beginner yoga class is the most relaxing part of my week and I look forward to it all week long. Shalini maintains a great balance between helping me challenge myself and doing so safely. It sure was a great introductory class- focusing on the basics of yoga- the breathing, body positions and  gentle moves. The space was relaxing and peaceful, clean and serene.  Your voice was so steady and clear, which I really liked, helping me Center my focus on the core energy in us. You were very clear with the instruction which made it easy to follow and transition smoothly. I can see how we can gradually progress with the right form and techniques as we advance. I feel less fearful of injury through wrong postures as in most advanced yoga classes. Thoroughly enjoyed the class and felt rejuvenated at the end. - Smitha
