Shalini is a certified instructor registered with Yoga Alliance who is currently working on breathwork and mindfulness certification to become a holistic life coach. She is also a current corporate technology fulltime Director and a busy mom with two teenagers! Shalini has been learning yoga for 10+ years and wants to spread the joy and passion for yoga, pranayama and meditation by thematically incorporating healthy action of the body and wonder of the human experience. Woking in a high stress corporate world, she has met many individuals who have experienced burnout and has helped them by sharing these practices leading to reduced anxiety and stress.

She has been teaching yoga part time since Fall 2018 and impacted over 100 adults including Seniors and over 20 teenagers. It is very fulfilling to hear amazing testimonials from them and how yoga has become an integral part of their life!

Favorite Pose: Dancer Pose because it is a very strong posture that requires strength, balance, mobility, and an element of letting go.

  

My Personal Journey...

I started practising Yoga by trying out various classes 10 years ago. I was told Yoga helps with weight loss and is a tool to melt away stress. Honestly, in the beginning I didnt think this was a quick weight loss solution. However, there was something that did strike a chord with me -- the mental calm, body + breath connection, qualities of endurance, strength and NOT letting go (although many poses seemed IMpossible!). Over the course of those initial few months, I did truly connect with that sense of calm and learned the power of endurance and resilience in addition to the balance and stability. Most importantly, I began to realize that the power of change truly resides within me (mental and physical) and it all starts with beginning to love and respect my own body. In few years, what seemed to be IMpossible soon started to become simply POssible. Through my own self-acceptance, I want to be able to show others how they can tap into appreciating their own unique, beautiful, and divine physical body....the exciting journey has just begun...
